Dalam pidato berbahasa Inggris di hadapan kontestan lainnya dari berbagai penjuru dunia, Wawali Mor Bastiaan mengatakan dibangunnya Call Center Manado Siaga112 tujuannya untuk membantu masyarakat Kota Manado mendapat layanan darurat dengan cepat. Sehingga, dengan ditetapkannya Call Center Manado Siaga112 sebagai Best Service Center mewakili kawasan Asia Pacifik merupakan suatu kehormatan bagi Kota Manado.
“Kami tentunya tidak pernah menyangka bisa seperti ini di kancah internasional. Sebenarnya, dibangunnya Call Center di Manado untuk memberikan layanan darurat secara cepat. Dengan memiliki fasilitas Call Center saja, kami sudah bersyukur bisa membantu masyarakat Manado,” ujar Wawali Mor Bastiaan.
Setelah dilakukan penilaian terhadap Call Center finalis dari berbagai negara, hasilnya akan diumumkan pada 9 November 2018 waktu setempat.
Layanan Call Center Manado Siaga112 merupakan inisiatif Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) sejak tahun 2016 lalu.
Seperti diketahui, sejak di-launching pada 6 Desember 2017, Call Center Manado Siaga112, mendapat perhatian serius komunitas CCW. Ujung-ujungnya, CCW memberikan penghargaan sebagai layanan terbaik di kawasan Asia Pacifik.
Komunitas CCW merupakan jejaring asosiasi global Contact Center yang bertujuan berbagi, berjejaring, dan pembelajar profesi Contact Center. Penyerahan penghargaan tersebut dilakukan perwakilan CCW di Indonesia Grace Heny, di Oakwood Premier Cozmo, Jakarta, pada 14 April 2018.
