GSVL-Mor tatap muka dengan ratusan guru PAUD se-Kota Manado
Walikota GS Vicky Lumentut saat berdialog dengan guru PAUD.
WALIKOTA Manado Dr Ir GS Vicky Lumentut SH MSi DEA bersama Wakil Walikota Mor Dominus Bastiaan SE, didampingi Sekda Micler CS Lakat SH MH, Selasa 27 November 2018 bertatap muka dengan ratusan guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) se-Kota Manado, yang terdiri atas guru Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK), Kelompok Bermain (KB), maupun Taman Penitipan Anak (TPA), baik guru sekolah negeri maupun sekolah swasta.
Pertemuan yang dilakukan dari pagi hingga siang di Ruang Serbaguna Kantor Walikota Manado, Jl Balaikota Tikala, berjalan penuh kekeluargaan. Bahkan sesekali tatap muka tersebut diselingi dengan lagu anak-anak yang biasanya dinyanyikan di sekolah.
Pada kesempatan itu Walikota GSVL mengajak guru-guru PAUD agar sejak kecil anak-anak harus diajarkan agar mencintai kebersihan serta kejujuran yakni dengan tidak mengambil barang milik orang lain.
“Anak ibarat kertas putih yang bersih belum terdapat coretan. Sehingga, seorang guru PAUD dapat mengisi kertas putih itu dengan hal-hal yang baik untuk menghasilkan sesuatu yang baik di masa yang akan datang,” ujarnya.
Karena anak seperti lembar putih yang belum diisi apa-apa, maka para guru PAUD punya bagian yang besar untuk mengisi apa yang baik di lembaran itu.
“Jangan sampai menghasilkan lembaran yang gelap, karena anak-anak tersebut berada diusia yang sangat menentukan kedepan, ini pekerjaan yang berat tapi sangat mulia,” tandas Walikota GSVL.
Walikota GSVL pikirkan sertifikasi dan peningkatan kesejahteraan guru PAUD
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Walikota GSVL juga mendengarkan langsung berbagai keluhan dan ‘uneg-uneg’ dari para guru PAUD baik yang berstatus Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) maupun tenaga kontrak atau honorer.
Sebagian besar keluhan yang disampaikan para guru terkait sertifikasi dan peningkatan kesejahteraan. Apalagi, tugas para guru PAUD sangat berat dalam mempersiapkan generasi emas Kota Manado.
Menjawab keluhan para pendidik itu, Walikota GSVL berjanji akan mencarikan solusi terbaik melalui Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Disdikbud) Kota Manado. Bahkan, dirinya meminta mereka untuk memasukan data diri mulai dari nama, alamat, lamanya bekerja, status dan sebagainya.
“Pemerintah Kota Manado akan melakukan kajian terhadap kemampuan keuangan kita, karena kami akan memberikan perhatian khusus bagi guru-guru PAUD. Oleh karena itu, silahkan masukan data by name by address, menjadi guru sudah berapa lama,” ujar Walikota GSVL yang langsung disambut tepukan tangan para guru.
Berdasarkan laporan Plt Kepala Disdikbud Kota Manado Drs Daglan Walangitan, tenaga guru PAUD yang tersebar di 294 sekolah berjumlah 742 guru, terdiri dari 200 guru PNS dan 542 guru non PNS. Dari 294 sekolah PAUD tersebut terdiri dari 222 TK, 60 Kelompok Bermain, 5 Taman Penitipan Anak serta satuan PAUD sejenis 7 lembaga.(LIPSUS)
