MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Opening Ceremony atau pembukaan iven pariwisata Manado Fiesta 2018 yang berlangsung spektakuler pada Jumat (31/08/2018) lalu, benar-benar memukau dan menyita perhatian berbagai kalangan. Tak terkecuali Menteri Dalam Negeri (Mendagri) Tjahjo Kumolo.
Mendagri bersama Gubernur Sulut Olly Dondokambey SE dan Kapolda Sulut Irjen Pol Drs Bambang Waskito, ikut menyaksikan langsung rangkaian acara tersebut dan terlihat begitu menikmatinya. Karenanya, Mendagri pun menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Pemkot Manado di bawah pimpinan Walikota DR Ir GS Vicky Lumentut SH MSi DEA (GSVL) dan Wakil Walikota Mor Dominus Bastiaan SE serta jajaran atas penyelenggaraan kegiatan Manado Fiesta ini. “Terima kasih Pak Wali,” ujar Mendagri, saat menyampaikan sambutannya dalam acara pembukaan.
Menurutnya, letak Kota Manado yang strategis di bibir Pacific, mampu meningkatkan arus kunjungan wisata baik lokal maupun mancanegara.
“Arus wisatawan yang masuk di Sulawesi Utara sangat banyak. Sehingga, pemerintah Pak Presiden Joko Widodo, terus mengarahkan dan mendorong daerah daerah untuk berlomba-lomba menyelenggarakan iven pariwisata,” ungkap Mendagri.
Di sisi lain, Mendagri juga merespon usulan Walikota GSVL terkait rencana Pemkot Manado bersama DPRD untuk menuangkan Manado Fiesta ini dalam dalam Peraturan Daerah (Perda) supaya akan menjadi agenda tahunan di Manado. “Saya setuju jika kegiatan Manado Fiesta ini di-Perda-kan. Silahkan dibahas dengan DPRD, agar nantinya iven ini bisa dilaksanakan setiap tahun,” tandas Mendagri.
Diketahui, iven pariwisata yang memasuki tahun ke-2 ini, tetap menampilkan tujuh festival (F7) yakni Fish and Coral (FisCo), Food, Flying, Fashion, Funtastic, Fair dan Faith. “Kita rencanakan kegiatan ini bisa dilaksanakan setiap tahun dengan payung hukum yang jelas. Siapapun yang jadi pemimpin di Kota Manado, harus menggelar Manado Fiesta setiap tahunnya karena sudah di-Perda-kan,” ucap Walikota GSVL.(donwu)
