Sekda Manado Micler Lakat menjadi irup upacara Sumpah Pemuda tahun 2018 Kota Manado.
MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Upacara Hari Sumpah Pemuda (HSP) ke-90 tahun 2018 Kota Manado, digelar Senin 29 Oktober 2018 pagi tadi di lapangan Sparta Tikala, Jalan Balaikota Tikala, Manado.
Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Manado Micler CS Lakat SH MH menjadi inspektur upacara (irup) mewakili Walikota DR Ir GS Vicky Lumentut SH MSi DEA. Adapun peserta upacara terdiri dari Forkompimda, organisasi pemuda, organisasi masyarakat, pelajar, TNI, POLRI, hingga pers dari Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO).
Dalam sambutan Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora) yang dibacakan Sekda Micler Lakat, menegaskan bahwa bangsa Indonesia berhutang budi kepada para tokoh pemuda tahun 1928 yang telah mendeklarasikan Sumpah Pemuda sehingga menjadi pelopor pemuda untuk membangun kesadaran kebangsaan Indonesia sekaligus komitmen menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan negeri ini.
“Komitmen kebangsaan mereka harus kita teladani untuk membangun bangsa, satukan Indonesia,” ujarnya.
Sekda Micler Lakat kemudian mengatakan bahwa pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi ibarat dua mata pisau.
“Satu sisi ia memberikan jaminan kecepatan informasi sehingga memungkinkan para pemuda kita untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan dalam pengembangan sumber daya serta daya saing. Namun pada sisi yang lain perkembangan imformasi teknologi ini mempunyai dampak negatif, informasi-informasi yang bersifat destruktif mulai dari hoax, hate speech, pornografi, narkoba, pergaulan bebas hingga radikalisme dan terorisme juga masuk dengan mudahnya apabila kaum muda tidak dapat membendung dengan filter ilmu pengetahuan serta kedewasaan dalam berbangsa dan bernegara,” tukasnya.
Untuk itu, revolusi mental yang dicanangkan Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) amatlah relevan dalam mewujudkan pemuda yang maju. Ciri pemuda yang maju adalah pemuda berkarakter, berkapasitas dan berdaya saing.
“Revolusi mental harus dapat kita jadikan sebagi pemicu untuk mempercepat terwujudnya pemuda yang maju. Dengan mewujudkan pemuda yang maju berarti kita dapat menghasilkan bangsa yang hebat,” tandas Sekda Micler Lakat.
Dirinya pun tak lupa menyemangati dan menggelorakan kembali para pemuda di Kota Manado, untuk memberikan kontribusi positif bagi bangsa dan negara, khususnya di Kota Manado.
“Wahai pemuda, dunia menunggumu, berjuanglah, lahirkanlah ide-ide, tekad, dan cita-cita, pengorbananmu tidak akan pernah sia-sia dalam mengubah dunia,” tandas Sekda Micler Lakat.(DONWU)
