MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Berbagai kegiatan terus dilakukan dalam iven Manado Fiesta 2018. Dan salah satu yang digelar Kamis (06/08/2018) sore hingga malam ini adalah Manado Fashion Festival, yang dilangsungkan di Atrium Mantos, Jl Piere Tendean Boulevard Manado.
Manado Fashion Festival dibagi dalam dua kategori, yakni kategori umum dan kategori Perangkat Daerah (PD) Pemkot Manado. Untuk bisa tampil dalam catwalk fashion show, para peserta harus 50 persen menggunakan gaun/pakaian fashion terbuat dari Kaeng Manado. Aturan ini diberlakukan bagi seluruh peserta.
Salah satu peserta yang tampil memukau dalam kategori PD Pemkot Manado adalah Kepala Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (DPM-PTSP) Jimmy Rotinsulu SE MSi yang tampil bersama istri. Kadis Jimmy menggunakan atasan Kaeng Manado berwana biru dengan motifnya, sementara sang istri menggunakan gaung Kaeng Manado perpaduan biru dan merah muda.
Keduanya berlenggak-lenggok di atas catwalk layaknya peragawan dan peragawati professional. Sehingga tak sedikit yang memberikan aplaus kepada pasangan ini.
Perlu diketahui, filosofi yang terdapat dalam motif Kaeng Manado menggambarkan kehidupan masyarakat Kota Manado itu sendiri. Dimana, ada beberapa motif yang ditampilkan seperti motif ikan Coelacanth, sejenis ikan purba yang hanya hidup di perairan Manado. Kemudian motif Tugu Lilin yang menggambarkan pengorbanan untuk menerangi orang banyak. Lalu simbol tempat ibadah yang menggambarkan tentang Kota Manado sebagai kota yang rukun, serta gambar coral dan biota laut yang menegaskan jika Kota Manado adalah kota dengan panorama bawah laut yang mempesona.(donwu)
