MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Walikota Manado DR Ir GS Vicky Lumentut SH MSi DEA (GSVL) menegaskan, Pemkot Manado mendukung penuh upaya yang dilakukan aparat keamanan melalui Operasi Mantap Brata Samrat 2018, yang tujuannya adalah untuk mengantisipasi gangguan keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat (Kamtibmas) serta pengamanan pesta demokrasi Pemilu Presiden/Wakil Presiden dan Pemilu Legislatif tahun 2019.
“Selaku pemerintah di Kota Manado, kami tentunya memberikan support dan dukungan kepada aparat keamanan kita, polisi dan TNI, dalam melakukan pengamanan di wilayah Indonesia khususnya di Kota Manado dan Sulawesi Utara pada umumnya,” ujar Walikota GSVL.
Untuk itu, GSVL meminta warga Kota Manado untuk ikut berpartisipasi menjaga keamanan lingkungannya masing-masing. Bahkan, warga dihimbau agar tidak mudah terprovokasi dengan isu-isu yang menyesatkan serta waspada terhadap berita hoax atau berita bohong/palsu yang memecah belah kehidupan masyarakat.
“Mari kita bantu polisi dan TNI kita dalam menciptakan suasana yang aman dan nyaman di lingkungan kita. Mari jaga keamanan bersama. Jangan mudah terprovakasi dengan berita-berita atau kabar yang tidak benar atau hoax. Karena, Kota Manado adalah kota yang rukun, kota yang menjunjung tinggi toleransi meski berbeda suku, agama, ras dan antar-golongan,” tegas Ketua DPD Partai Demokrat Sulut itu.
Operasi Mantap Brata Samrat 2018 ini akan berlangsung selama 397 hari, mulai 20 September 2018 sampai 21 Oktober 2019 di seluruh wilayah NKRI. Apel gelar pasukan Operasi Mantap Brata Samrat 2018 digelar di halaman Mapolda Sulut, Jalan Bethesda Manado, Rabu 19 September 2018, dipimpin langsung Kapolda Sulut Irjen Pol Bambang Waskito.(DONWU)
