Penjabat Sekda Kota Manado Peter KB Assa saat memimpin rakor rencana kunjungan Presiden Joko Widodo di Manado.
MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) rencananya akan menghadiri puncak kegiatan Bulan Pemantapan Gerakan Nasional Revolusi Mental (BP-GNRM) tahun 2018 yang digelar Pemprov Sulut, pada 26 Oktober 2018 mendatang.
Manado sebagai tuan rumah dan etalasenya Provinsi Sulut tentunya menjadi terdepan dalam menyambut kedatangan orang nomor 1 di Indonesia ini. Karena, persiapan kunjungan Jokowi telah dilakukan dalam rapat koordinasi (rakor) yang digelar di ruang Toar Lumimuut, Lt.2 Kantor Walikota, Jalan Balaikota Tikala, Kamis 18 Oktober 2018 sore.
Rakor dipimpin Penjabat Sekda Kota Manado Peter KB Assa ST MSc PhD didampingi Asisten I bidang Pemerintahan dan Kesejahteraan Rakyat Micler CS Lakat SH MH, Asisten II bidang Perekonomian dr Robby Mottoh, Asisten III bidang Administrasi Keuangan Frans Mawitjere SH, dan dihadiri sejumlah pejabat kepala Perangkat Daerah terkait.
Menurut Sekda Assa, selain menyangkut teknis dan protokoler rencana kunjungan Presiden Jokowi, Pemkot Manado mendorong aparatur pemerintahan sampai masyarakat kota, agar meningkatkan kebersihan, keamanan dan kerukunan di Kota Manado.
“Jumat besok pagi, seluruh aparatur pemerintah mulai dari ASN maupun THL di lingkup Pemkot Manado akan melaksanakan kerja bakti, membersihkan wilayah Kota Manado. Kami berharap, masyarakat juga ikut berperan membersihkan lingkungannya,” ujar Sekda Assa.
Dikatakan, kegiatan bersih-bersih kota tersebut merupakan instruksi Walikota DR Ir GS Vicky Lumentut SH MSi DEA dan Wakil Walikota Mor Dominus Bastiaan SE, agar Kota Manado tetap dalam keadaan bersih, tidak hanya karena ada rencana kunjungan Presiden Jokowi.
“Budaya bersih harus menjadi bagian dari kehidupan orang Manado, itu yang selalu disampaikan Pak Walikota dan Pak Wakil Walikota. Karena, kebersihan merupakan bagian daripada iman. Sehingga, menjadi tanggung jawab kita bersama, jika lingkungan kita bersih,” ujar Sekda Assa.
Selain itu, sikap hidup yang menjunjung tinggi keamanan dan kerukunan juga menjadi jati diri masyarakat Kota Manado. “Mari kita jaga keamanan dan pelihara hidup kerukunan diantara kita. Karena, orang Manado adalah orang yang mencintai kerukunan dan kedamaian. Selain bersih, Pak Walikota dan Pak Wakil selalu mengingatkan kita semua bahwa Manado adalah rumah kita bersama, tanpa memandang perbedaan suku, agama, ras dan antar-golongan,” pungkas Sekda Assa.(DONWU)
