MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Walikota Manado DR GS Vicky Lumentut (GSVL) secara resmi membuka pelaksanaan Kejuaraan Paragliding/Paralayang Internasional dalam rangka Manado Fiesta 2019 di Gunung Tumpa, Kamis (01/08/2019) pagi.
Kegiatan Paralayang Internasional ini diikuti oleh 5 Negara dan 15 Provinsi yang ada di Indonesia. Pada kesempatan tersebut, Walikota GSVL berharap agar lomba Paragliding Internasional dalam rangka meramaikan Manado Fiesta 2019 dapat berjalan dengan baik dan sukses, dan menjadikan olahraga Paragliding ini atau Paralayang ini sebagai salah satu potensi wisata khususnya lagi Gunung Tumpa.
“Kami berharap kegiatan ini sukses, para atletnya baik dari luar negeri dan dalam negeri, dapat menikmatinya, sehingga mereka dapat kembali lagi mengikuti kejuaraan yang sama di Kota Manado ini, termasuk mengikuti Thingkgiving Kota Manado pada 4 Agustus mendatang,” ujar Walikota.
Dalam acara pembukaan tersebut, hadir juga Danlanudsri Kol Pnb Johnny Sumaryana SE, Ketua Fasida Sulut, Kepala Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Kota Manado Laurens Umboh, serta puluhan atlet paralayang.(DONWU)
