Kapolda Sulut Bambang Waskito dan Walikota Manado GS Vicky Lumentut dalam prosesi peletakan batu pertama pembangunan rumah subsidi bagi anggota Polda Sulut.
MANADO, BERITASULUT.CO.ID – Walikota Manado DR GS Vicky Lumentut (GSVL) menghadiri dan ikut meletakan batu pertama pembangunan rumah subsidi bagi anggota Polda Sulawesi Utara (Sulut) di Perumahan Griya Paniki, Mapanget, Rabu 19 Desember 2018 sore.
Dalam sambutannya, Walikota GSVL mengapresiasi apa yang dilakukan Polda Sulut di bawah kepemimpinan Kapolda Irjen Pol Drs Bambang Waskito. Pasalnya, langkah Polda Sulut yang membantu anggotanya mendapatkan fasilitas rumah tinggal patut dicontoh. Bahkan, Walikota GSVL ingin mengadopsi apa yang dilakukan Polda Sulut untuk diterapkan di Pemkot Manado.
“Luar biasa terobosan yang dilakukan Pak Kapolda. Ini adalah salah satu solusi di Kota Manado, jajaran Polda berinisiatif menyiapkan rumah bagi anggotanya. Kami akan adopsi program ini untuk ASN (Aparatur Sipil Negara) di Kota Manado. Terima kasih dengan terbangunnya sekian unit rumah, berarti itu akan juga ikut menambah PAD (Pendapatan Asli Daerah) Kota Manado nantinya,” ujar Walikota GSVL.
Adapun Kapolda Sulut berterima kasih kepada Walikota GSVL yang telah membantu dalam proses perizinan. “Terima kasih kepada Walikota Manado Pak Vicky Lumentut yang memberi ijin berupa persyaratan seputar perumahan polisi. Kita harus berpikir kedepan, adik-adik polisi harus mempunyai rumah idaman. Jadi jangan dulu berpikir untuk beli motor, utamakan dulu rumah untuk tempat tinggal dari pada hanya kontrakan terus,” ujar Kapolda.
Dirinya mengajak jajarannya untuk menyisikan gajinya untuk keperluan masa depan dengan memiliki rumah sendiri. “Jadi, harus relakan sebagian gaji dibayar untuk rumah, agar kedepan jika sudah berumah-tangga telah memiliki rumah sendiri dan menjadi kebanggan orang tua. Saya imbau ke Polres-Polres lain, untuk bisa mensejahterakan anggotanya seperti pengadaan rumah tinggal seperti di wilayah Polres Manado ini,” tandas Kapolda Waskito.
Sejumlah pejabat Pemkot Manado ikut mendampingi Walikota GSVL, antara lain Kepala Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (DPM-PTSP) Jimmy Rotinsulu SE, Camat Mapanget Reyn Heydemans, serta Kabag Pemerintahan dan Humas Steven Runtuwene SSos.(DONWU)
